Sellers reporting problems when trying to print prepaid delivery labels

I am a buyer who is getting (not all the time) occasional messages complaining that they are having problems printing address labels and are therefore unable to send items.  A couple of times they have managed to get round this by writing out my address and buying postage at the post office, but this last seller I have dealt with is insisting it is my problem to sort out with ebay.  Except I dont know what the problem is or how to fix it!!  My address is the same one I have always used and it is correct.  I am wondering if  it is my address that the system doesn't like as it is over 40 characters long but there is no way of shortening it as the system insists on adding a county, North Yorkshire.  Sellers report various problems - that it wont print a label, that the address is invalid or incomplete or that there is no address.  Other sellers seem to have no problem printing a label.  If Ebay know their simple delivery system is unreliable why hasn't it been fixed?

Nope,  it's not your problem, not your address causing this,  and not your issue to solve. Yep, some other sellers are having issues printing labels,  it seems to be an on/ off tech issue.

You can kindly inform this uninformed seller the above, and that they can buy their own postage at the PO if they wish to continue with the sale, and there is a process for them to receive a refund for the unused Simple Delivery label,  send them to us here,  if they're unsure.

Or, to cancel the order, this will refund you,  and you can buy from another hopefully, nicer seller!

My view would be, as this seems to have happened to you several times, that you should check your address.

Often, the issue is with the postcode.

Not everybody realises that the letters should be capitals and there should be a space between the two parts of the postcode.  As in NR1 2UA.

Also, it's easy to use a zero (0) instead of a capital O.

So, probably it's fine, but worth a check.

Although you seem to think this is a Simple Delivery issue, most of your recent purchases are from business sellers who don't use SD anyway.

My postcode is correct and in the right format, however it is very
interesting that you say business sellers don't use simple delivery. I
have had no problems at all with business sellers, on the four or five
occasions when people have reported problems printing labels they are all
private sellers.
