I sold a lovely casstte deck, use "simple" delivery through Ebay and it was sent using Evri (which I do not usually use!). When it arrived it was completely trashed. The buyer sent me pictures and asked for a refund. After a chat with him via the Ebay messaging system I was convince this was geneuine so refunded him. I then took the matter up with Evri. I got nowhere until I emailed all the UK senior management with my dispute (email addresses available on the web). I eventually got a message to say as I bought the shipping through the Ebay "simple" system I would have to take it up with Ebay and Evri were not interested. I cannot seem to find any way of opening a claim with Ebay for this damage. Does anybody have an idea of how to do it. Until then I am never using Ebay or Evri again after over 250 successful transactions with no serious problems like this. Steve.

Here's how to claim:

This is why a lot of sellers are not happy about Simple Delivery as Evri would not be their choice of courier. We expect it to be made compulsory but for now you can opt out during the listing process. Look for the postage options menu icon on the right of the postage section.

You shouldn't have to make a claim, with Simple Delivery the seller is not responsible for any damages or loss during transit. It should be covered by eBay
Check the FAQ

Did your buyer open a case claiming damage or just message you?
If they only messaged get them to open a case for arrived damaged, you state it's a simple delivery and is covered by eBay for any damage,it may be that eBay refund the buyer so you would have to arrange for the buyer to return your refund
