Seller won’t reply

Hi. I purchased a garden strimmer at the end of January and used it a couple of weeks ago and it seized ! I have messaged the seller on numerous occasions and they have not replied, I phoned the company today and no answer and no call back !
This is a company selling on eBay but as it’s over 30days eBay and PayPal don’t seem to want to know ?  Anything I can do ?
many thanks

You are too late to start a return with Ebay or Paypal - both allow 30 days only to return a faulty item.

If you bought from a UK business seller, it might be worth contacting Citizens Advice to see what 'next steps' they suggest.

Personally, if it is a UK business seller, I would write a letter and send it to their address explaining the issue and what I expect them to do.

If you paid by credit or debit card have a word with your card issuer. They may be able to assist - either may be able to issue a chargeback, and if it was a credit card and the item cost over £100 it may even be covered by the consumer credit act.
