Hi there,
I am a seller. A package I sent via Evri never reached the buyer. It is now reported as lost. I am fine with reimbursing the buyer, but want to know what can be done for me to reclaim the cost of the item I sold. I would be grateful for any advice as I really need to get this sorted. Thanks.

The buyer needs to open a case stating they have not received the item.
Unless you used Ebay Simple Delivery, you are responsible for refunding your buyer.
Then you claim for the value of the lost item from Evri.

You can - of course - take it up with Evri though many will say that your chances of success are slim.
EBay's "new" scheme may have a way to reimburse you. After all it is surely said to be "simple".
We hear often of parcels that totally disappear. Where do they all really go, I wonder? Are there stacks of parcels lying around in couriers' warehouses? It seems unlikely in that all serious mail is barcoded and can be traced ...

Your recently sold items were sent with Ebay's Simple Delivery.
The buyer MUST open a case stating they have not received their item. Have they done that or have they just messaged you?
Then, Ebay will refund the buyer and send you an email stating: they have refunded the buyer; you don't need to take any action; your account won't be affected,
