Seller under sent parcel as large letter and won’t refund the extra money I had to pay as a buywr

As per the heading I’ve incurred an extra unpaid postage cost. Have message d the seller and they just blame eBay as it was posted through there but they obviously entered the size incorrectly. I’ve evem

sent a photo to prove that but they’ve not refunded the difference. I can’t see any way to report this to eBay as the buyer and get the money I’m out of pocket on. Help

please! Ty

Unless the seller pays up, there is no way to get the money back.

As a buyer, when this happens, all you can do is not pay and not collect the item or hope that the seller will feel responsible and refund you.

You can reflect your dissatisfaction in your feedback and mark down the star rating for postage, and note that the item was late if it was held up because of insufficient postage.

I'm afraid that we often get asked this question.

When a delivery is underpaid your choice is to refuse to accept the parcel, or to pay the extra charge and trust the seller to refund you. If they won't, eBay will not get involved.

Receiving an underpaid delivery is the only situation in which eBay allows buyers to refuse delivery without rendering the transaction ineligible for eBay's money back guarantee.
