Seller stated they are in UK. Have to send return to Europe

I bought an item from a seller stating that they are in the UK. I actioned for a return of the item but have to send it tracked to Europe. This was not stated during the sale. They also insist on tracking as well. UK £8. EU £17. I have complained to ebay but not received a reply. This is not right. Anyone else experienced this?

If listing stated item posted from UK, even if seller is elsewhere, then you return to UK.

I assume you opened ebay case, if so escalate to ebay to sort.
