I honestly can't see a valid reason to report a seller this far down the line -  if you bought something (a job lot of meccano, or similar, I'm guessing) and there are some pieces missing then this is something that should've been raised within 30 days.

If you bought an item which is not as described, you may be eligible to start a chargeback through your payment source.

What did you buy and when?
How did you pay?

Hi

Thanks again for your initial reply.

I did reply regarding the back story of my purchase but I am still confused as to I progress my issue.

Raising it with the credit card company is a path I have not gome down before but I note your comment.

Should I expect a further reply from you?

I would really like to make ebay aware of this seller's intransigence as I do not hold out much hope of recompense.

Am I wrong?

You didn't reply to this thread or answer the questions I asked which may have been useful.

However, if you wish to report the seller, you can use the link below, and you have 60 days to leave the seller feedback.  If you do report the seller, Ebay will not tell you what action if any they take.

You can report a seller using the button below.

Hi jckl1957
Many thanks for your email re Meccano set no. 10 purchased on 20th November
2024 with a Vanquis credit card at a final cost of £600.
Seller stated "no returns".
I was engaged and on another hobby project until last August and discovered
that of a total parts list of 250+, some 70+ were completely missing whilst
a further 75+ showed significant shortages.
I engaged politely with the seller via contact on another item he was
selling, but to no avail. I thought he might have omitted to send the large
number of items. Not so, and he quoted ebay terms re making complaints etc.
I cannot believe that he was unaware of this enormous discrepancy.
I look forward to your advice.
The actual parts sent weigh over 16kgs and are relatively small but
plentiful, so a visual scan did not reveal the true situation.

I can't offer any useful advice.

You needed to check the items when they arrived.

After nearly a year, you are far too late to pursue a claim against the seller via Ebay or your payment provider.

Thanks. Mea culpa, caveat emptor et cetera.
I thougt as much but wanted some advice so thanks.
I presume that ebay are not interested in noting actions or inactions of
sellers. The whole ethos is based on trust so whatever the rules are on
timescales, that trust has been broken, not by me but by the seller.
I just wish there was a legal way to make others aware.
Thanks again for your help.
