Seller had failed to ship item so I lodged a report just before the 30 day deadline, seller then responded to apologise for the delay, they had forgotten to set their status to away due to recently giving birth. They have now messaged to say that the shipping label has since expired and so need me to provide my name and address so that they can ship the item. Can I provide my name and address over eBay or is this some sort of scam?

Are you in time to escalate the case?
Then, just escalate and let eBay step in and force the refund.

Unless you really, really want the item I would tell the seller to refund you.
If you do want the item there shouldn't be an issue with providing your details but don't let your current case time out if nothing arrives.

I believe I’m in time to escalate. The problem is I do want the item. It’s not a high value item. Just wondering what’s the worst that can happen if I were to share my name and address.

Give them your address but tell them if it's not dispatched right away you will have to escalate your case before the deadline expires. Nothing will happen just from giving them your details. They'll have got them originally anyway.

As advised, you can choose to give them your address.
Make sure you don't close the case.
Reassure the seller that you will close the case when the item arrives and you are happy with it.
They will have to trust you as you are now trusting them to get the item sent.
