Seller refuses to cancel an accudentally ordered item

Was just beginning to set up an order for my sons Christmas present and looking through details and changed my mind when the phone slipped in my hand and I accidentally confirmed the order as I tried to stop it from hitting the floor.

Went through the order cancellation process with ebay, which took minutes but have received a message saying that the seller can't cancel because they've posted  the goods. I have never had that fast a response on a purchase before. How do I cancel,?

Unfortunately, if the seller claims the item has been sent, you won't be able to cancel.

Ebay rules state that buyers can request a cancellation but sellers can accept or refuse.

If it is a business seller, you will be able to send the item back but you will be liable for the return postage.
