Seller not responding

I bought and paid for an item on the 13th October 2025, last delivery date was 20th Oct, but the seller has not posted it out to me. After 4 days of waiting I sent a message asking if they were sending it to me, but got no response, so on the 19th I put in for a cancellation request as it was a Sunday, so no way the item could arrive the next day as it had not been sent, and would not arrive in time.

 

Today 22nd Oct  still no response from seller to the request, but should I have waited a little and reported item as not arrived?

 

I have sent the seller another message today 22nd to ask them if they can please respond as it is now to late for the item as we are going away today until 2nd Nov.

 

What will happen if the seller does not respond at all, will eBay step in and give me a refund?

You open item not received case 1 day after estimated delivery date,escalate on day 4.

Do not contact seller again, cases are automated.

If seller can't prove delivery, they have to refund.

Thank you for the reply,  it is already 2 days after estimated delivery date but I now have to wait until tomorrow for the 3 days to finish for response to the cancel request.

I hopefully can open an item not received case after the 3 days as it says eBay just cancel the request and I have to pay within 4 days, but why when item has not been posted? 

 

This is very frustrating and if  it is automated then it should already be sorted and refunded, this new policy is not good at all, and I am thinking about stopping buying on eBay all together.  

 

The seller has not posted the item after 9 days this should be an automatic refund, no questions or waiting.

You can only ask the seller to cancel, they don't have to agree.

 

Open not received case & escalate.

Never mind, you repeat what you said but do not read what I said, I can not open a case as I have a day left for cancellation response!

 

Estimated delivery date, has already passed by 2 days ago! 

 

Please do not reply back it is a waste of time.
