Hi. I recently joined eBay and I've made less than 5 purchases since opening my account in July. I tried to buy a jacket. The funds were deducted from my account. This is was the 2nd attempt at buying this jacket. The 1st time I tried to buy the jacket from a different seller. However, due to difficulties concerning the address I provided the seller cancelled and I was refunded. This 2nd time, the seller was also experiencing challenges with my address. I explained to the him/her that the address I use is an one provided by a shopping service where I'm based. It then forwards all my UK online purchases as I'm currently not based in the UK. I've never had a problem and all my online purchases are sent to me without problems. I explained this to the seller and gave assurances as, understandbly, the seller was apprehensive and did not think I was a legitimate buyer. After some back and forth, I was left under the impression (s)he finally understood. She said she would send the jacket. The tracking no. which I've taken note of was issued days ago and yesterday (31 July 2025) was the delivery date. I've been checking the tracking status and the courier service is still expecting to receive the item to deliver it to the address I provided. I'm beginning to feel that this seller is not acting in good faith and now I feel compelled to escalate the matter. Any advice on how to resolve this is really appreciated.

All you can do is to open an eBay item not received claim once the estimated delivery date showing omn your order has passed.
Many international sellers do use third party freight forwarders, and it's absolutely fine for a seller to ship to that address if it's the one showing as the delivery address to ship to in the order details once payment has been received.
In fact, it's a bonus for the seller because the buyer isn't covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee/Buyer Protection if they have the item shipped to them via a third party.
Maybe direct your seller to this thread where we can put their mind at rest?

Thanks so much for the quick reply. How do I direct her to this thread? Sorry for being a pain as I'm new to eBay.

Thank you so much for your help. The matter has been resolved and the seller sent the item. I'll make sure to leave a positive review once I've received it. Once again, many thanks for all your help
