Hi. I bought some wheels recently which turned out one was faulty and dangerous.
I reported this issue with them a few days after delivery and after a long winded discussion he reluctantly accepted them back . I sent photo and videos to which he finally admitted that there was a fault.
Seller sent dpd to collect and I packaged them up myself and video’d it as I knew something was off with the seller.
You can probably guess, they got them back damaged, part refunded and PayPal case closed in their favour as it was over the 30 days!
Havinv looked online and Facebook page it seems they are known for this activity.
i have proof they weren’t damaged when packages but no way of appealing the decision.
can anyone help as I’m £500 down now and it was there item that was dangerous
thanks

Sadly you appear to have fallen for the oldest trick on eBay, to drag things out until eBay and PayPal''s 30 day deadlines expire.
If you paid or funded the payment from a credit or debit card your card issuer may be able to help. No guarantees, though. eBay's protection is very strong for faulty items, but you MUST act within the time limit. After 30 days from delivery eBay will have no interest.
Otherwise, for £500 you could look at the potential for legal proceedings but these are unlikely to be straightforward. Take advice first. Good luck.

Thank you for the relply red_magpie.
yes it looks that way although i initiated the return through eBay messages 9 days after purchase and the seller arranged the collection of the items.
I should have done it through eBay I know now but to damage the item when they got it back is fraudulent and having looked on there Facebook page it seems I’m not the only one this has happened to recently so they are known for damaging goods to avoid paying full refunds .
I have evidence of what they are up to but nowhere on eBay or PayPal can I appeal and send them proof !
very frustrating to say the least !

I would also like to add that the seller , who having looked online, has previous history in items miraculously arriving back with them damaged so my refund has been reduced to peanuts.
I have video of myself packing them up so they weren’t damaged when sent so basically what they have done is fraudulent.
eBay and PayPal are useless as I have no way of appealing this and sending my own evidence.
as I said a quick google or facebook search shows I’m not the only one to fall victim of this scam .
Disappointed in both eBay and PayPal as thought they were safe
