Hi, hoping someone might be able to help as eBay CS couldn’t.
I have sold a bulky item (25kg) which I initially listed as Collection Only, but a buyer was keen to pay for postage.
I checked available postage options within the listing on Saturday and of 3 given for 25kgs plus, the cheapest was UPS Next Day at £11.99. I checked the max dimensions stated, and was under these, but I didn’t have to enter actual dimensions of my item. I selected this option and changed the postage options from Collection Only to Collection or this UPS £11.99.
The buyer then went ahead with the purchase yesterday (Sunday) and selected the UPS Next Day option, paying the £11.99. This shows to me in the item summary.
However, when I try to purchase the postage label, eBay is not offering me that UPS service as an option, the only UPS option is £19.19.
I have repeatedly tried to update the weight and dimensions in the items to get this option back without success; I spoke to eBay Customer Support who tried to tell me I would need to either pay the more expensive option or ask the buyer to pay more! They suggested UPS may have changed their pricing (on a Sunday!); I checked the postage options in a separate item I have listed and if I adjust the weight to 26kgs, the same UPSS £11.99 service is offered for me to select, so they clearly haven’t discontinued it or changed the price.
Does anyone know why this is happening? When I have gone out of my way to offer postage on this item, I’m finding it very frustrating that eBay are not fulfilling the options they made available.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
