Scammed.

Paid for a TV over £430, next day seller emails me to tell me they had put the incorrect postage costs, so the sale was cancelled, I have tried to get through to eBay, no luck there, to action a refund,  the seller has relisted the TV with exactly the same postage costs, how do I get my money back please?

Re: Scammed.

If your seller has cancelled the order, and it's showing as cancelled, then the refund has been initiated and will go back to your funding source. It can take a few days for it to show up back in your bank account. If you funded the payment with a credit card it may take a bit longer to show up on your card statement.

You can leave a well worded feedback if your seller didn't honour the transaction and cancelled the order.

Re: Scammed.

Thank you for the reply, this selling platform used to be an excellent way of buying items, but sadly the decline in the honesty of the sellers is gradually eroding the integrity of the site.
My particular seller has relisted the item quoting the same postage costs that he said had been wrongly stated in my completed transaction, a scammer, no doubt.

Is the order showing as refunded your end?

Re: Scammed.

No, all I have is the email saying he was cancelling the sale, I am hoping the transaction is covered by eBay

Re: Scammed.

If you go to the order details and it doesn't say that you're being refunded then you may need to open an eBay item not received claim one day after the latest estimated delivery date showing on the order.
