SIMPLE DELIEVERY NIGHTMARE

if i sale a light dvd i can send by royal mail large letter with a tracking number for £1.55 NOW under the new simple delievery it will cost £2.70 to send the same item , i phoned ebay and the representitive said  when buye has paid  for the £2.70 label you do not have to use this , but if you decide to use a £1.55 royal mail label printed by yourself you will have to pay that extra £1.55 yourself   WHAT ! i asked so i  have to carge the seller £2.70 then i have to pay the £1.55 myself on top , he said YES  Anyone know if this is true ? , Someone somewhere is making a lot of money out of this new system , just like the stupid  rip off that is buyer protection fee , We all know   buyers are fully protected anyway with or without this fee,

The buyer would get refunded the £2.70 they paid if the label was not used.

You would lose the amount you paid for postage.

Re: SIMPLE DELIEVERY NIGHTMARE

so if a buyer buys the item under simple delievery  i can create my £1.55 label myself and print this then refund the buyer  £1.15 the difference is this correct ?

Re: SIMPLE DELIEVERY NIGHTMARE

No.

Ebay refunds the buyer the full SD label price they were charged.

You pay the full new postage cost.

Re: SIMPLE DELIEVERY NIGHTMARE

Only refund the buyer if you want them to make a profit!

They pay Ebay 2.70, not you.

If the label is not used, Ebay will eventually refund that amount to your buyer.

So, essentially, they get free postage and you lose £1.55p from the money you are paid for the item.
