Royal Mail tried to deliver to "address inaccessible"

A buyer has opened a case against me saying their item wasn't received.  The tracking shows that RM attempted delivery but the address is inaccessible.  I have explained to buyer the steps they need to take, ie  collect from sorting office quoting tracking number, or request a re-delivery online.  I keep getting aggressive responses from the buyer, saying that they shouldn't have to do my job.    I have reported the buyer for what has become harrassment but haven't heard back from them.  What else can I do?

If the items shows as Delivered or attempted delivery then you would win the dispute.

Wait for them to open the dispute

Make sure the tracking is on the item on ebay

If you bought through packlink then it is on automatically

Thanks for your quick reply - much appreciated!  Yes, the tracking is on the item.  Ebay are telling me I have until the 30 December to respond, even though I've responded to the buyer.  Do I just leave it at that and wait for ebay to decide or should I be doing anything else?    Incidentally, since I posted on here, the buyer very kindly has left negative feedback  which I've appealed!

Cannot see a negative, so ebay must have acted fast for a change, but if buyer claimed not received, attempted delivery should have got it removed.

Thanks for the reply!  I challenged the negative feedback and ebay removed it within ten minutes.  Result!
