Royal Mail 2nd class post

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what happens if you use Royal Mail 2nd class post and the buyer states they have not received the goods.  I know 1st class is tracked, not sure how 2nd class post is treated.

Thanks

Unless you post tracked, if buyer claims item not received and it does not show as delivered, you always have to refund.

You must also correctly upgrade to business, ebay are cracking down.

More steps to address false private sellers

At eBay, we are dedicated to ensuring a fair and equitable marketplace for all business sellers. To achieve this, we monitor trading activities, and we’ll continuously help business sellers using a private account to transition to a business account, or restrict selling activity as necessary. In addition, we’ve reduced the number of free listings available to private sellers.

Re: Royal Mail 2nd class post

Was the item larger than a letter size?  Then on your proof of posting at the bottom is a 16 digit long number.

It's not  tracking number,   but it can show if an item has been delivered, or attempted delivery made,  this counts in eBay's eyes too,  or no delivery made.

Enter the number into Royal Mail's Track & Trace online to see the item's progress.

If it has shown delivery or attempted delivery,  entering the number into any case the buyer opens will close it in yor favour,  no need to refund.

You can send the buyer the number for them to check themselves,  the item could be sitting with a neighbour.

Enter those numbers now, where you marked the item as dispatched where it says Add tracking, these numbers are valid too.
