Sold a camera that worked fine, buyers now requested a full refund and return of camera stating it doesnt work correctly, im now worried im going to give a refund and be left woth a broken camera,

If they open an ebay return request stating it doesnt work you will have to refund in full.

If however, the camera comes back and is fine,then you can report the buyer for abusing the money back gurantee process.
