Hi there
I recently received the wrong item and opened a request for a return, requesting a refund. Today I have received a replacement item, which I no longer require since I bought the item elsewhere. They haven't yet marked the returned item as arrived and therefore I can't contact eBay.
Anyone any idea how I go about organising another return and a refund, please?
Thanks
Cath

As you returned for a refund not a replacement, then I suggest you escalate your return case to get a refund. If seller wants replacement back they will have to supply a return label.
You only get one case, so it is a very good reason why you should never accept a replacement as if that should be broken or faulty there is nothing further you can do through ebay.

Sellers don't mark the item as returned.
When you sent it back, you should have added the tracking to the case. This is sometimes done automatically when the label is bought through Ebay.
Once the tracking shows delivered, the seller has 48 hours to refund you.
If they don't, you can go back to the case and ask Ebay to step in.

Your returned item should have been returned using a paid for ebay label that is tracked, what does the tracking say?

Thanks, John.
Tracking doesn't yet say delivered, so I'll hang on until it does. I'm actually wondering if this is the original item they shipped but it's arrived a week late. That may well be the case. I'll wait until tracking confirms delivery and proceed as you suggested.
Many thanks
