Refunds - buyer protection & customer support

Why does eBay think it's ok for the buyer to be out of pocket returning an item to a seller who described an item completely incorrectly?  No one responds asking the question online despite an hour and a half trying to resolve, and yet when you request a call, the caller hangs up as soon as I answer, presumably so that they can prove a call was made but list it as no answer.... I'm beyond frustrated with their total lack of help, yet they waste time with mindless platitudes like 'we respect your 19 years loyalty'. It's complete rubbish.

It's not OK and actually, the money back guarantee used properly, prevents it happening.

So rather than ask a rhetorical question, tell us what actually happened, including the date of delivery, the date you opened your case and the reason you gave for the case, and we will try and help you.
