I am happy to refund but don;t want the item back. I chose this option from the drop down list but I am being asked to choose a return postage option

Not sure what the issue is there.   You could contact ebay and see what they say.   Links on here:

But if you end up having to select a postage option just make sure the buyer knows not to use and you won't be charged.
