Refund for a lightbulb!

Why has Ebay made it so complicated to get a refund for a lightbulb (and Aquarium one). Have contacted the Seller - first to let him know it's faulty. They replied, asked if I wanted a refund and if so, to contact Ebay. Went thru the initial 'contact seller' for refund and I've messaged the seller twice now - no reply. Tried using the 'returns form' and it wants photos.....it's a dead light bulb! Tried using the god forsaken chatbot and no surprise, got nowhere.  Note: Seller doesn't accept returns.

I've been using Ebay long enough to know how it used to work if something needed refunding, now it's like running into a wall.  This seems yet another "If it ain't broke, we'll still change it" tactic that Ebay have done countless times over the years I've used it.

As long as you received the bulb within the last 30 days, as it is faulty, the seller will have to accept a return.

Ebay have not changed the return process - it is still the work of a few clicks.

About a year ago, they started asking buyers to add a photo.

Just one.

Either take a photo and add it, or use one from the original listing.

Then your return will be open.

If the seller wants the bulb back, they have 3 days to provide a label and if they don't, you go back to the case and ask Ebay to step in.
