I bought a copy of pokemon emerald, once it arrived i inspected it and found out it was a counterfeit I was wandering what my next steps should be to try and recieve a refund. Seller claims that he didn't list it as authetic yet listed it for 120$ and when I contacted him about he he stated it was a counterfeit and was pretty hostile towards me.

You have received an item not as described, go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.
The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund, if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you. If they don't , need to escalate the case, ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.
Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early, and do not forget to escalate.

Thank you very much seems like I'll be waiting 3 days for ebay to escalate, seller is very hostile so I'll let the ebay team resolve the dispute. Thank you very much for your response!

Yes, ignore any seller's message just do not reply. Cases are all automated and timed to the second so after 3 days if there's no refund, no label to send the item back, just escalate, ask eBay to step in !
