Recall risk of electrocution

I purchased an impact driver with two batteries now ebay have sent me a warning message saying that the item is at risk of electrocution as the battery terminals may be live, I've messaged the seller several times but not received any reply. How do I proceed

Recall risk of electrocution

It all depends when you purchased the item.

If it's within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery you can open a case for item not as described for a full refund.

If this time has lapsed and again depending when you bought the item you can try your payment provider.

May be worth getting in contact with the manufacturer,  they may be able to advise how to proceed now.

You are too late for any sort of claim or action through Ebay.

Ebay have to let you know if items are dangerous but then it is between you and the seller.

If it is a UK business seller, you can try writing to them or phoning them. If you bought from a Chinese seller, then you stand little chance of getting your money back.

My own personal advice would be to cut your losses, bin the item, and stay safe.
