I purchased a range cooker from Ebay which has a 2 year warranty. I have problems with it from the start.
I purchased it on the 17th December 2024 and was fitted in my kitchen 5 days later. I have had a problem with the 2nd oven door and the heat mists up the door of the smaller oven over.
Christmas day, the oven blew a fuse! The turkey went into the dustbin together with the roast potatoes etc.!
3 blown fuses later, I decided to contact the supplier, who told me that I cannot return it as it had been unpacked and used twice! Ebay agreed me to return it and gave me 3 options. One option was with Royal Mail for £7.95! A range cooker for just £7.95 postage????? The seller is not replying to my messages and I can't fid telephone contact for Ebay customer services! Anyone got any advice???

If you opened a NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, SELLER has to pay return postage. Ebay supply, paid for by seller a standard label, which is in adequate and you have to ask ebay for a more appropriate value label.
If you spoke to ebay, they do not agree to a return, so long as within the 30 day money back guarantee it is YOUR RIGHT to open a return case.

Thank you for your reply John.
I wish that I had purchased the cooker from a local store as I am finding it difficult to reach anyone, whether the seller or Ebay customer services. I have sent them an email explaining the problem that I have been having since the cooker was fitted on the 20th December. I am hoping that this will be resolved before the 30-day money back guarantee runs out! I will ask the electrician for a confirmation of the problem as proof order to give it to the seller and Ebay.

Do not let 30 days run out without escalating case to ebay.
Your payment provider may also help, worth contacting them ASAP.

You dont have to deal with the seller
You open a My item is not as described dispute within 30 days of receiving the item
The seller sends a pre paid label for the return
once they have it back then they refund in full
If they have not done that then you go back after 4 days and escalate to ebay
The option appears when it is time.
Did you open the incorrect dispute of a return?.
If you did then you can not close it to open the not as described dispute
As said Citizens advice or your card provider may help
