If the item has broken within 30 days of delivery then read up on the money back guarantee and use it to make a claim.

Did you buy from a business seller registered in accordance with ebay requirements?
If so and you are within the 30 days, open a Not as described case.
If outside the 30 days contact your payment provider.
If you bought from an unregistered private seller then they should be reported to ebay, but that will not get your money back. I hardly thing a properly registered seller would tell tell you to repair it yourself.

I also think that hearing aids should be bought from professional outlets to get the right strength and fit, not on ebay.

There will be a link to the ebay money back guarantee on the listing you bought from.
Alternatively eBay’s extensive guidance on all things ebay related can be found using the search function, either through the help and contact tab at the bottom of a page, or through the ? at the top right of the community pages.
