Proving my age

I’m trying to purchase a chopsaw and keep getting asked for proof of age as it’s a bladed item. I’m 51 years old and don’t own a credit card which is what they keep asking me for. I’m a carpenter so buy a lot of tools, many with blades , this is so frustrating

I'm afraid the only  way for an online purchase,  that eBay accept for purchasing any bladed item is to be in possession of a credit card.  This proves you are over the age of 18 , not eBay's rules ,  but the rules in the UK.

Sorry,  but the only way round this , is to add a credit card to your eBay account , or to ask someone with a credit card on their eBay account to buy this item for you.

Thanks for your reply. I’ll have to look elsewhere for a different supplier as we order bladed items weekly as I own a carpentry company
