Price change after buy it now paid

Hi all, I bought an item via buy it now on eBay from a store , paid the money via PayPal, now the seller has come up with an excuse saying the packaging has been damaged before sending out and they can only refund me the other excuse they gave was that was old stock and the price has gone up. Can a store who list how many items of the same they have for sale change to increase their price after I've bought the item ? They have now listed exact same item for more money as a buy it now ? Surely as a store seller they arnt allowed to change price after the item has been sold n paid?

I am afraid that while seller cannot put price up on the item you purchased, you cannot make him complete the transaction.

Best to tell seller to cancel the sale as out if stock, and get a refund, THEN leave negative feedback, just saying "SELLER WOULD NOT HONOUR THE SALE AT PRICE IT SOLD FOR" and mark down the star ratings.
