Prepaid postage label insufficient

I have a prepaid postage label for an auction item I have sold.
I have found the parcel is too heavy for the value of the prepaid postage.
I know that I can choose 'Cancel label' from Selling\Postage labels but from the Help it looks like that would just refund postage back to the buyer.
I don't want the buyer to take any action or contribute further to the postage as it's my mistake.
How do I personally just add extra postage to the parcel for the correct weight?
Can I just stick postage stamps on the parcel?

You can't add to the existing postage.    You either have to cancel the current transaction with buyer's agreement and relist with correct postage for them to buy again.    Or buy the correct postage yourself and change the tracking on the existing transaction.    The buyer will receive a refund for the original unused label.

In theory you could just stick stamps on the parcel but there'd be no tracking so no proof of delivery.   Not necessarily a problem if the item is not expensive.    Open the original label to mark the item as dispatched.   We can't do that manually any more.
