Postage

I post all my sold items via Royal Mail 48hr Tracked Service. I have no printer and have no wish to mess around with QR codes especially when dispatching multiple parcels. I take my items to the Post Office and they stick a label on the parcels. This is a simple and effective method. All of my items arrive with the buyers within a couple of days. The cost of this method is not the cheapest at £4.05 and I only charge £3.99 because it is perceived much lower. Anyways the new ‘Simple Delivery’ from eBay means I cannot set the postage costs or choose the service I want at the price I want. Is there any way I can set the delivery company I want and the price I want to charge under these new and tiresome changes to dispatch that nobody sought or needed?

Simple Delivery is now mandatory for Private sellers.

You can use your own postal service and price,  but unless you can manually change the tracking number to that used,  your payout will be held for a minimum of 14 days before release.  If tracking cannot show delivery for any lost item,  you will need to refund that buyer.

There are bonuses with SD,  if the item is lost in the post,  or the buyer received an item which was damaged in transit,  the eBay pick up that cost,  they refund the buyer,  and you get to keep the payout for the item.

If you buy postage other than SD you will be paying for it yourself.   Then you have to generate the original prepaid SD label to be able to change the tracking number and mark as dispatched.
