Postage

Can I get out of Simple Delivery? My only carrier option is Royal Mail, if I purchase a label through Simple the cheapest option is around £5 which is ridiculous for a small parcel. I have just sold an item that was listed before Simple where I charged £2.49 for postage but ended up out of pocket because of this.

If I pass on the high postage cost to the buyer it makes the item expensive especially with Buyer Protection added too. What can I do?

Yep,   that too is a major issue with SD, and you may be able to opt out today or tomorrow, but it is to become mandatory for all Private sellers,  and members are reporting existing listings with Custom postage are being automatically changed to SD postage.

True that selecting Royal Mail as your sole choice of service ups the price of that postage to,   in my humble opinion,  an unreasonable amount so yes, off putting for most buyers.  eBay see it as giving a buyer less choice by eliminating Evri . 🤔

There's no getting away from Simple Delivery!

That's what I was afraid of. I might have to find a different forum for my
selling.
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
