Postage selection changing in eBay’s list.

Hi

Is anyone else finding there selected postage changing from when you originally listed an item.

I’ve had 5 items change from small parcel Royal Mail 48hr tracked for £3.39.

to ‘others’ 1st class large letter 48hr tracked for £3.39.

which Royal Mail then hold your item at the buyers depot wanting a fee to release, funny thing is there don’t tell the receiver.

so your buyer does know where the item is.

as a seller you can’t seem to pay the fee to release and contacting a human is impossible.

anyway thinking it was me incorrectly selecting the wrong postal service, found eBay was automatic switching my items to this service. Which has now cost me to sort out this mess, with replace items and paying extra postage.

it would be interesting to find out anybody else have experience this.

It will help if you opt out of Simple Delivery during the listing/revising process.   Click on "Switch to advanced options" at the bottom of the postage section, and again on the pop-up you'll get.
