Postage mess

What on earth have eBay done with this forced postage thing for selling? I am a wheelchair user and live in a remote area. I need to do a 14 mile round trip to get to a collection point. This cannot be right. EBay have removed choice and control. Not a good thing to do to a disabled person. I now have a 16kg scooter I have no idea how to post! Can anyone give advice? I can no longer sell with eBay because of this

Re: Postage mess

You can still arrange Royal Mail collection from you (if that's the service you were using previously), but you will need access to a printer (Royal Mail no longer bring the label with them).

Re: Postage mess

Ah, I've just checked, that eScooter is too big for Royal Mail.

How were you planning on sending it out?

Just a heads up, private sellers aren't allowed to list eScooters on eBay.

Re: Postage mess

Royal Mail are an expensive option for postage. I had dhl lined up to collect this item. EBay should have no right to decide how I post an item that belongs to me. I decide what’s easier for me. This is not it. It seems it’s a bad policy for an awful lot of us for many reasons. But I’ve been told on the phone by CS that if you want to use eBay, that’s it. Evri or parcel force. Well I won’t be using eBay then. My life is difficult enough without this. There are other places to sell nowadays. Facebook marketplace will do me nicely. No restrictions forced on me there. If eBay think they will make money from this, and they are for sure making money somehow, they won’t. People are already getting fed up and leaving, just like me.
