I have recently sold an item for approx £256 where the buyer selected Royalmail Tracked 48 with Age Verification at a cost of £9.93, however during the process for selecting and paying for the postage label, the only option available to select was UPS with age verification costing £20 plus £14 for insurance cover. So I’m about £25 out of pocket due to UPS being the only postage option. How did this happen and how can this be avoided?

Ebay only offer UPS for age verification.
You can buy same verification from RM, you need to buy from RM Website or PO.

My issue is why the option for Royalmail Tracked 48 with Age Verification was shown to the buyer. Although this option was not available for me to purchase through EBay, are you saying that I could have chosen to take this parcel to the post office or purchase this service from Royalmail website? This could be an expensive lesson for me to learn…….

Thank you, that will be useful for future sales that require age verification.
