Post taken from proceeds AND from bank account

Can someone explain why the postage amount has been taken from my proceeds AND additionally from my bank account. Is there something I am doing wrong when an item has been sold? I have done this multiple times for a number of items.

Look at all transactions in PAYMENTS at the top of the seller hub summary page.

Ebay does not take money from money received they take it from the balance on your ebay account, so there is a debit and a credit of the full amount. If you look at all transactions that might explain exactly what has happened.

Thank you for your reply. This makes sense as all my proceeds go straight into my bank account so therefore the postage has come straight out of my bank account. I think it's the way eBay outline the 'What you earned" section in the "Order details" which makes it look like they have taken postage out of the earnings as well as my bank account.

It is confusing.   The 'what you earned' is different to the 'what we paid you'.
