Paypal fraud

I have closed my paypal account because I have found from my bank statement that the have been duplicating my transaction payments.  Has anyone else had this problem.  Is there a more secure way of paying on eBay.

Options for method of payment appear on every listing.

I do not see how and have never heard of Paypal duplicating payments. Where would the money go? Seller would not expect to be paid twice! Have you asked them for an explanation?

Now did you fund payments, did you keep a balance on your paypal  account, or did paypal have to recover money from a bank account or card?

I think @john1297576  is correct.

Paypal will pay ebay, but if not enough funds in paypal, then they take money from your linked bank/card.
