Payout on hold taking longer to verify account

I have received my selling amount to eBay balance but account verification for payout taking more than 4 days. Why eBay has this process to hold sellers money instead they have buyer protection. Isn’t that unfair ?

You are a new seller who has sold an expensive item so Ebay will hold your funds until your account has been verified.

If your buyer starts a return, you will have to refund them - that is not what the BPF is for.

Established sellers with verified bank accounts don't have to wait for thei funds.

Nope,  not unfair at all.  It's a very good security measure.

eBay have to be sure,  a 100% sure,  they have the right bank account to send  your payouts too.  I'm sure that is preferable to money going to wrong accounts.

All new sellers experience this initial hold, as said for an effective security measure.  Once you're established with a good sales record,  then your payouts will reach you within 24 hours of the buyer paying.
