Payment charges for no sale

I put up a vehicle for sale around a week post, took it down because sold elsewhere, nothing to do with the 2 messages I had on eBay and now have a payment due. Is this correct I thought it was free listing

Payment charges for no sale

Yep,  that is correct,  vehicles are exempt from the ' Free Listing' on eBay.

Vehicles are always subject to a listing fee which is non refundable,  and payable sale or no sale.

Same if you listed your car in your local paper and it didn't sell, the paper would not refund you your advertising fee.

If you list again take a look at listing the car in a Classified ad format.  It's slightly more expensive but stays on for 30 days,  and once sold,  there is nothing else to pay.

Here's all you need to know about Selling with classified ads: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/listings/listing-tips/selling-classified-ads?id=4167&st=12&pos=1...
