Hi 👋
I’ve tried to find some answers to this here and maybe I’m looking in the wrong places!
I’ve had a buyer open a payment dispute for “Didn’t Recognise Transaction “ a week after placing the order.
The item isn’t expensive under £10 and is advertised as RM 2nd Class. When I go to dispute the claim I can only dispute it with tracking info which I don’t have.
Ive messaged the buyer and they’ve not responded. Strangely they have plenty of positive feedback approx 150.
Is there anything I can do to dispute this or without tracking my only option is to let them have the item and give them their money back ??
I’ve sold many many things on eBay in the past and had buyers claim packages haven’t turned but never payment disputed.

Without tracking, you will lose.
Problem is charge back is against ebay and they don't defend it,
You will also pay a fee.

Interesting, this seems hard to protect against then for selling on eBay?
For lower cost items sending via tracking surely pushes the overall cost up to the buyer (or the seller) to a point where it doesn’t become viable.

You have been unlucky.
I think it is probably quite unusual for such a case to be opened using a payment dispute - in all honesty, a dishonest buyer could have opened an 'item not received' case and not involved their bank.

You may as well just agree to the refund, you've nothing to gain if you don't have a tracking number showing delivery.
