Returning item unable to mark dispatched

I'm in the process of returning an item. Rerun label printed from within the eBay app and item dropped off. 

eBay keeps telling me I have an action to take by marking as dispatched and providing tracking.

After finding out you can't do this on the app, only the desktop site, I've selected the courier and typed in the tracking reference however when I press save the page simply loops back to "provide tracking" with empty boxes again.

Has anyone got any ideas or has anyone had a similar experience?

If it was ebay generated label, when you take parcel to PO/drop off store and get receipt it should update case as dispatched.

Thanks for your response, however I'd not have posted the query if what you suggest had happened.

As stated in the original post, label printed from within the eBay app. Dropped at post office. Not showing as dispatched in eBay account. Unable to mark as dispatched and provide tracking number as the page which allows this just cycles when i press save.

Check case tomorrow to see if updated.

RM and ebay systems can be slow to update.
