Parcel sent, received and buyer left positive feedback, but parcel is still listed as "Dispactched"

I recent sold an item, but didnt find the option to add tracking info until after the buyer received the parcel. They were happy with the item sold and left postive feedback, I added the tracking info which shows the item was delivered but the item is still showing as "Dispactched"

Yep,  eBay's tracking is notoriously slow to update,  this will not bode well for the coming changes in payout holds for Private sellers.

 

Is you payout on hold?  If not ,ignore the instructions below,  all is well eBay's tracking will eventually update.

 

If you have added tracking this showing actual delivery,  it should speed up the process for your payout to be released, if say by early next week,  nothing much seems to happen at weekends, you money is still not in the Available section of your Payment Summary,  then contact eBay Customer Services, provide the tracking which does show delivery,  and ask if your payout can be released sooner.

 

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

 

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Ebay does say to enter tracking as soon as dispatched, entering after delivery has actually happened msy be more than ebay systems can cope with.

 

When marking as dispatched, there are reminders to add tracking.

Thank you so much for this reply. I was stressing about this before I went to work and was also struggling with figuring out how to contact anyone at ebay directly to help resolve it (the don't make it easy). I was worried that it was not going to update on its own and that I would have lost the payment. Took a wild stab at asking the community for help and you totally solved my problem. Again thank you so much, you turned a very bad day into a great one!

Thanks John, no ebay did not give me any option (or reminder) to enter the tracking after I marked it as dispatched. Rather it wasn't until I went into the "View order details" that I saw I could add the tracking number. Not important though as the issue has already been resolved. Thanks
