Parcel returned to seller, but no requested this

Hi All,

I sold an item (I think on Saturday) and posted (with Evri) on Sunday.

It was collected on Monday, but on Wednesday on the tracking info it says ' Return to sender requested' - this wasn't requested by myself or the Buyer.

The item was delivered back to me on Thursday and now Ebay and Evri are saying it's been delivered successfully!

Buyer is chasing for their parcel, but Evri say it's been delivered to the correct address - I've raised a call with them, but haven't much hope - any idea what has happened here??

I've double checked the Buyers address and it's all good, why has there been a request to send back?

Regards.

Nobody in this forum can answer your question.

Evri might be able to shed some light on it if you can get hold of them.

You should try to resolve this with the buyer.  Personally, I would contact the buyer and, if they are agreeable, simply send the item again.

thanks, yes ideally Evri will give a new label to post again. If not I'm going to have to ask the Buyer to cancel the order as not received and they get a full refund. And I'll have to try and sell again. Cost of postage is more than the item is worth!

Buyer cannot cancel, particularly as it shows as delivered. Basically it is for you and buyer to decide what to do.

Is it possible that Evri made a mess of label and put your address, or that the return address was taken as the buyers, which ever you may be able to see who is responsible if and when returned to you.

When this sort of thing happens it is always the seller who is out of pocket.
