Paid for an item, then recieved a message saying it was damaged and will no longer be sold

I won bidding on a drone and paid instantly.

The seller then messaged me to say, they had noticed damage on the drone and it wouldnt be fair to sell it too me in this condition, which i thought fair enough and thanks for your honesty. They also said they have actioned my refund. I assumed that meant cancelled the sale and returned my money but my ebay still said paid.

So i asked the seller to cancel the transaction on there end as they'd seen thr damage and decided not to sell. They said they couldnt work out how to do it and suggested i cancel the transaction on my end, which wasnt easy but i managed to do. I then messaged the seller to let them know i had requested a cancellation and i needed them to accept the cancellation request for me to be refunded and they've gone silent on me.

We were messaging back and forth at the end of bidding and ive waited all day for a reply or notification to sayin my cancellation request has been accepted by the seller.

i now have a tracking number.

What do i do now?

Tia

Buyers can only request a cancellation, the action is made by the seller.

If you have not received any message from eBay that a refund s being processed,  then one day after the item's last estimated date for delivery,  proceed this way:

As the seller is not being helpful,  go right of the item purchased,  and from More Actions select....  I Have Not Received My Item.

If you are not fully refunded within 3 days,  you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case,  and eBay will step in and force the refund.

Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give,  and do not forget to escalate.

Maybe the seller has sent it after all?

If it doesn't arrive by the expected delivery date, open a case for item not received.

If it arrives and is not what you were expecting,  open a case for item not as described.

If it arrives late and is as described but you no longer want it,  you can still open a case for item not as described.
