Order still not delivered - what do I do ?

Hi all, 
I've sold a laptop on Sunday the 17th. Created a Dpd postage label through Ebay, dropped off the package to the shop on the same day.  5 days later, the buyer reports "item has not arrived". Dpd tracking shows "Your parcel has been dropped off at a DPD Pickup Shop".(it was "1-2 days delivery service").  No further info under the tracking number. 
Trying to call Dpd, the automatic voice says the consignment number appears to be purchased via Packlink, please contact Packlink for support and hangs up. 
Now, 
What do I have to do with packlink? Upon dropping the item at the pickup shop, I got an email from "Collect+ Parcels".  But tracking on their website redirects me right away to DPD.  And as I already said, when contacting dpd they say Packlink.  So checking the packlink tracking, none of the consingment, reference etc none of them matches my delivery. 

To say I am confused would be putting it mildly. 
Who do I contact now? Where do I seek help?
Where is my parcel? 
What do I say to the buyer ??
Am I anyhow protected, apart from unsure dpd insurance?
How could a company such as DPD leave a sender without any support whatsoever? Trying to contact them feels like trying to move a rock.

This is what I am gettin when trying to get help with Collect+ : 

"Collect+ no longer provide end-to-end parcel services.

As your query is related to the delivery of your parcel or the service you have received from your courier, please click here and select “Parcel courier contact details” to contact your courier."

Because you bought the postage through eBay all postage queries have to go to Packlink, who are eBay’s middle man.

 

It's much better to buy direct from the courier.

Hi, thanks for your reply, 

Whatever I am trying to do with packlink, their website doesn't recognise any of my tracking/consignment/ref numbers. Any contact attempt starts by asking for tracking numbers, which are not being recognised. Am I stuck?

Ar you sure your buyer realises they have to collect it at the DPD pickup shop?
