Order going to wrong address

Hi, can anyone advise please. I've ordered something I've been trying to find for ages, but I failed to realise it was being sent to my old address until just now and it has already been shipped! is there anything I can do? can I change the address with someone? or maybe somehow ask them to leave it with the neighbour at said old address so I can collect from them? I have messaged the seller awaiting a reply, but don't know if they will be able to help anyway.

Your seller will not be able to help if the item has already been posted,  and they will post to the name and address eBay provide,  the one you have on the delivery details on your order .

The only thing you can do is to send a message to your previous new owner of your past address, to either send it on to you,  or as you suggest hand to a neighbour?

So this doesn't happen again , change your address on your eBay account.

Virtually impossible to do anything, unless address is close by your present address.

Risk is that it will be delivered and lost, as proof of delivery to address you provided would be all ebay need.
