Offer accepted but ebay couldnt process transaction

ebay notified me that they can't process my buyers offer and they have contacted them to say so. Ebay advise whilst I wait for payment others can still buy the item or make offers and I can sell to someone else if I want to. 

Anyone know what's going on here? did buyer just not have funds or something else?

Until an offer is paid for the item is still available to other buyers

Thanks, I understood that part and was wondering why it had occurred. Oddly, as soon as I posted here the buyer completed the transaction so alls good.
