Hello All,
This afternoon an item got sold and I downloaded the postage label, but some hours later I got an email saying the listing was removed due to the offensive material policy.
Is it still safe to post the item and will eBay release the funds, or should I cancel the sale, refund and relist?

There's a discussion on another platform about this and some say they got the payment, others say they didn't. If it's more than few pounds I probably wouldn't risk it. You cannot relist it. If you do ebay may suspend your account.

If removed it would not be wise to relist, as you could get suspended.
I cannot see that ebay can keep the money, so it might be best to cancel sale which would generate a refund. As it has been removed you may not be able to cancel, but should be able to select “refund”.
You do not say exactly what the offensive material was, but best to explain to buyer what has happened and why they are getting a refund.

Many thanks for the responses. The offensive material was a German WW2 image (swastika) on the item. As the value is over 100 GBP, I agree it is probably the wisest to cancel and refund.
I believe it would be safe to relist if the image was censored, but I will research it first.
By the way, I did open an appeal. Not to fight the decision of the take-down, but to pose the question if there will be a payout of the sale. When eBay responds, I will update here. Thanks again.
