No sales at all, for around a month

I am barely getting any sales atm. When i do, i get a sale less than £20. My numbers in seller performance, have dropped off a cliff. Admittedly i am not posting as much, but that is because nobody is buying. Ebay is the online selling platform i know. Where when you call Customer service, They go, " well tbh pal, i have NO IDEA why your sales, have dropped of a cliff.' Try this, try that.' instead of just telling you, the problem. Well, it could be this, could be that, is absolutely no good, for me. I wonder, what kind of business model it is, where i am having so little sales, i doubt is it worth even listing. If i call for support, they can't tell me, because they themselves, can't say why. I am expected to behave like Columbo and get to the crux. No wonder, people are leaving. Yes, i know ni am a private seller. But it has to be worth the effort. Also i got a second transaction defect, because i guy bought something, but told me to delay payment as he works away from home. When i did, they gave me my second transaction defect. That, was after informing eBay. They won't take it off and i feel it has been on there, way longer than is even fair. It's almost like eBay has become an elite club, where only there top earners, can sell. Which is up to eBay. But, at the very least, Be HONEST if this, is the case.

Firstly you have some truly lovely varied items,  the photographs and descriptions are great.   I have put you as a saved seller to have a good look through when I have some time ! 🤗

Why do sales suddenly stop, it's the b$64,000 question and I'm sure all sellers experience this.  However,  transaction defects may affect your items visibility?  It is annoying when buyers ask for a delayed posting of an item, best way forward here is to cancel the order,  with the buyer's permission,  and relist when they are home for delivery, otherwise the outcome is,  as you have found a defect which can affect your sales.

Hopefully, with Christmas round the corner,  your lovely items will pick up.

Somebody reported me to eBay for having a banned item, too. Just not my day, i think. This was the  bone and ebonised wood, dominoes, which has been on there for months.  I was sure, is legal. Ivory, no. Ebony, no. But black painted wood and bone, i though was legit to sell. I am sure i have seen the exact same kind, on eBay, too. Thinking of telling my friends i can't help anymore and shutting down this account. TY

Nooo, don't do that,  don't let one disgruntled member who reported  you,  and  the AI ' agent' reacting,  put a stop to you listing as I said,  lovely items.

Selling is hard,  it's only because you are a conscientious seller, that this is affecting you!  A hard shell is needed to wear when selling, and not always possible for some! 🤗

What do they say?....   Keep Calm and Carry On !

With two defects, which last on your account up to 13 months, have you been advised by ebay of being below standard, as they expect no more than 2% and if you have restrictions that may affect your visibility.

Free to list is a joke, unless you select promotions you do tend to become invisible. You do not have to use the suggested % however but get plagued with reminders that a lower percentage does restrict visibility.

Looking at your listings Can you really send the violin so cheaply? I certainly would not trust it to a courier especially Evri.

Your sales were never on a cliff! You've only averaged just over 10 feedbacks a month, and may find that this just a seasonal fluctuation. This time of year buyers are looking for Christmas presents. Some of your vintage items are nice, but probably not tideal as presents.

Think about creating a plain white, well lit and shadow free disaplay area for your photos - the endless grey cloth backgrounds don't do your items credit.

There are millions of small sellers on eBay - some grow and become hugely successful, while others don't. There's no single, magic answer, but the most successful seem to be the ones that specalise in particular collectors' items. That way, collectors will bookmark them and come back for more items. Think about this - I doubt whether anyone got rich quick selling general bric a brac.

Good luck anyway - perhaps 2026 will be the year your sales take off!
