I’ve sold an item sent it special next day delivery Royal Mail tried twice but no answer it sat in the sorting office for 5 days and now it’s been sent out to an other post office as requested by the customer should I be concerned that they will try and say it’s not been delivered to their original address

Attempted delivery counts for delivery in eBay's eyes, so you should be OK should a case for item not received be opened, if this was done through Special Delivery , eBay would take over for the refund if needed.

They have also asked for a redelivery to a different address so if not found there, this disqualifies them from any eBay refund as this was not sent to the original address on the delivery order.
