On Friday, 15th Aug in the blazing heat, I went to the post office 3 times, 1st time they said they couldn't print a label from the return label picture emailed to me as there's no QR code.
I contacted ebay, they said the QR code is showing on the label with the barcode and the man at the post office was wrong and to take it back.
I went back, he still refused saying no QR code.
The lady at Ebay said to go back and they'd call me back in just under an hour, 4.30pm our time, so they could speak to him.
Exhausted I took another walk and explained to the man that he could explain the problem to ebay. The call never came and at 5pm I left embarrassed, humiliated and feeling sick.
I received a call from ebay at 6.35pm and, in tears, I had to explain everything all over again as it wasn't the same lady I'd spoken to earlier. She asked for the time in my time zone and said she'd call me back. Nothing.
I've repeatedly requested a QR code and need it for the return but ebay don't care about us or what they tell us.
This year alone I've had cancer surgery twice, plus cancer treatment, I'm 70 in a few months and with the treatment it's a difficult walk to the post office. So you'll understand when I say ebay have made me a wreck, both physically and mentally. And we only have one post office in this out of the way small town, so I have to face them again, that's if I haven't been banned for my trust in ebay and my calm insistence that the man must be wrong.
I can't take anymore so please pass this on to ebay in the hope they'll help with 'honest and genuine' information. And sort this mess out with returns or we can't buy through them anymore
Kind regards
Eileen

If there is no QR code then label cannot be printed. I assume man at Post Office knows his job and therefore cannot print label however many times you go back.
Have you dealt with the return correctly? Why are you returning? Have you opened a return case? If so did seller respond correctly with a label?
It sounds to me as though no case has been opened and seller has just sent a return label to print off and then buy the postage. If a return case has been opened then if it is a change if mind return, you the buyer pays return postage. For seller to have to pay return postage it has to be a Not as described return.
I may be wrong but that is the only conclusion I can make from the information you give, so simple solution might be to write address and buy tracked postage, putting tracking into the return case.

I am sorry to hear you have been given the run around here. eBay were incorrect in the advice they gave you. Whilst the label which needs to be printed and stuck to the parcel shows a QR code the post office were correct in telling you that this would not work. The QR code shown on the label will NOT print a new label for you in a post office. This and the barcode are used by the posties to scan the parcel on its journey.
Generally when going to the PO you need a QR code sent to you.
If at the present time you are in limbo possibly (I don't know if this would work) that if you have a barcode number you could visit the RM website and book a collection and ask them to bring the label. That may work (I don't know for sure so don't shoot the messenger!!!) 😃

Not all returns have a QR code, sometimes it's just an emailed label that you have to print off.
If you had a label then it won't have had a QR code on it. Ebay CS was wrong telling you it did and sending you back to the PO.

If they did send a QR code it's not on the label, but it might have been in the email elsewhere. But as far as I can make out not all returns get a QR code version. If you didn't get one (and it's not a barcode), then you needed to find a way to print the label they did send you.
